Razzberry M&Ms

Razzberry M&Ms “Get razzed!” — Susan :P

I hadn’t even heard of this limited edition flavor but I guess it’s from early fall of 2007. I got the last bag in the box at the mini-mart up the street. At first, I couldn’t tell from the packaging if they were going to be raspberry flavored of if they were just going to be pink. But they were raspberry flavored! I liked them, but Kai thought they tasted like perfume.

What I don’t get, is that there doesn’t seem to be any particular promotion to warrant a limited edition M&M flavor. Like, they aren’t seasonal and they aren’t tied to a blockbuster movie in theaters about raspberries or anything. I thought that was weird that they would just put out raspberry flavored M&Ms for no special occassion. I guess they are thinking they can go the Kisses route… but I doubt enough people liked the raspberry ones (or heard about them) to encourage M&Ms to keep trying.

Personally, I _love_ limited edition candies. Except when I love them to much and then they go away. Just thinking about cherry ice cream flavored Mike & Ike’s brings a tear to my eye. Right now I’m all about the Elvis Reeses Cups. When those go away I’m going to go into a deep depression for at least a week. I was thrilled that Hershey’s brought back cordial cherry Kisses a second time.

Spicy Chai (Kava) at Shalimar on the Ave in Seattle

What Kai calls the Darjeeling Unlimited (because it’s darjeeling tea and there are free refills)–it’s apple cider without the apples. I could drink it all day when it’s snowing outside.

Zelda - Twilight Princess (Wii)

“Get off my back, naked martian jerk!” –Susan

In The Legend of Zelda series, our hero Link (or some descendant or variation of him) has saved Hyrule at least ten times. Every one of those times was more fun than this one. Twilight Princess is still my favorite game of the year, and as a standalone would be stellar; but taken against the backdrop of the previous ten versions, I have to say I’m a little disappointed. The best feature is that it’s on the Wii system. I thoroughly enjoy using the new controller, there’s nothing better. But the console should not be the game’s best feature.
Previous Zeldas have left me pulling my hair out trying to figure out their hidden agendas and trying to meet all their crazy demands. Twilight Princess does too much hand holding, maybe to try to ease my frustrations, but my new frustration is the stupid naked martian on my back! She’s so annoying. The old frustration was different, it was a challenge that kept me coming back to the series time and time again.
