“One part VH1:I love the 80s, 1 part Mr.Hankey, and a whole lotta parts gay.” –Susan
It’s like a Meg Ryan/Tom Hanks romantic comedy, only funnier and with poop. There were a lot of one liner jokes and satirical sketches, but unlike the Scary Movie and Not Another Teen Movie franchises, this movie was laugh out loud funny. Adam & Steve has so many different things going on, so many jokes, you’ll want to watch it with someone to make sure you catch them all. Probably someone like Mary, not someone like your grandma.
Also, Parker Posey and Chris Kattan should have won awards for their supporting roles. I’m not sure what awards… I don’t think they really have a category for this at Oscar.

I’m not a huge Bond fan–I’ve only see a couple previous Bond films, and I think they might all (both?) have been of the Pierce Brosnan era–but I REALLY enjoyed Casino Royale! All the good things you’ve read about it are true: more plot depth and character development than your typical Bond flick; excellent performances by all–particularly by newcomer Daniel Craig; and impressive special effects that are used more classically, more intelligently, rather than the gratuitous, over-the-top “because we can” nonsense of, say, King Kong. Casino Royale is a smart, fun, satisfying film that, refreshingly, does not rush through its plot, but allows each scene to unfold with weight and substance. (Oh yeah, and I’m not a man, but I’m pretty sure this film contains one of the most PAINFUL-looking balls-smashing scenes ever to hit the big screen!)
